Links Group strengthens management team in Qatar

Links Group has strengthened its management team in Qatar with the appointment of Neil Wilson as Country Manager. The new appointment will support increasing demand from foreign investors to establish a commercial presence in the region.

Neil brings to Links Group over 13 years of extensive service experience gained from senior positions across the Middle East, America, Europe and Far East. With a proven track record of successfully establishing companies in new markets, Neil will not only contribute to the development of the business in Qatar, but will also oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and activities.

A member of Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service serving in Mozambique, Iran and Saudi Arabia, Neil’s last post was in the UK where he was involved in a ministerial-led international research programme, which strengthens research and innovation partnerships between the UK and 15 emerging economies.

Commenting on the new appointment, John Martin St. Valery, founding partner of Links Group, said: “We are delighted to have Neil as a new addition to our firm and I have every confidence his contribution will strengthen not only the services that we offer our clients, but also the overall performance of the business in Qatar.

“The country’s pro-business environment and its fast-growing economy presents attractive opportunities for foreign businesses wanting to stimulate their home markets. We are experiencing significant growth in the number of foreign investors looking to expand to Qatar – while the oil and gas sector continues to dominate Qatar’s economy, the leadership remains committed to its diversification agenda and recognises the need for foreign expertise to support this.”
