Some articles you may have missed: 2013

We started the year looking at some of the major Qatari projects underway, including the rail network, the airport, and the Lusail Development, and also at Constructors Classification in Abu Dhabi (which became mandatory at the end of 2012).

In February the UK Government made changes to the passport procedure in the UAE, and the Consul of The Republic of Ireland also made changes.

In the same month, we were honoured to win Company Formation Specialists of the Year, and, Consultancy Service of the Year awards from Trade & Export Middle East.

Throughout the year we reported on changes to the Dubai visa and word of minimum salary,  Ejari registration, the Dubai DED’s new roles, and many more events that affect business in the Middle East.

One of the longest running business stories in the UAE has been that of the UAE Companies Law, which saw a draft approved in May.

Last but by no means least, in November we were ranked 13th in the Dubai SME 100. A testament to the company, to its staff, its clients, and to the economies of the UAE and Qatar.
