Delta Doha signs MoU with US firm

Delta Doha Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacturing of valves and wellhead equipment, has signed a memorandum of understanding with CCI, a leading American manufacturer of control valves. Delta Doha Corporation will provide a local service centre for CCI products within the factory of Delta Doha Corporation in the new industrial area, serving international and local companies such as Shell, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas and others.

Under the partnership agreement, Delta Doha Corporation will be representing the after-sales services of CCI. The agreement shall help both companies to increase their market share in this field, said Wesam Swelem, Managing Director of Delta Doha Corporation (DDC),

He said that the service centre, which is located in DDC’s factory in the new industrial zone, is equipped to carry out all acts of manufacturing, testing, calibration and repair for CCI products by utilising the state-of-the-art CNC machine shop, engineering Center, warehouse, and heavy lifting.

The DDC has recently launched a new company working in the field of petroleum services bearing the name of ‘dserv’, with a capital of QR50m, specialises in providing petroleum services for most oil companies in Qatar and the region.

“The rise in exploration activities for oil and natural gas in Qatar and the region underlines the importance of having more oil services companies destined for local and international companies in the coming years. DDC began a new phase of expansion in the new industrial zone in Qatar through the establishment of a new factory on an area of 15,000sqm, specialises in the design and manufacture of valves and equipment for the wellheads which are used in the production of oil. The company recently completed construction of factory in the new industrial zone,” said  Wesam Swelem.

Delta Doha Corporation is the only company in the Middle East, winning  recognition by the American Petroleum Institute, which has the right to design and manufacture of valves and wellhead equipment, he added.
